Where: Zieglergasse 42, 1070
Atmosphere: one-of-a-kind in Vienna
Service: friendly and personal, in a pub kind of way
Food: you have to be a meat eater to appreciate it, but there are a few vegetarian options on the menu
Value for money: it’s expensive, but worth the money
They also have… a huge beer garden in summer, and a professional barista serving coffee from 8:30am.
We also like… the attempt of the place to work with local businesses, and the mural of local faces commonly seen around the 7th district.
Fun fact… the Czech Pilsner Urquell beer in the brass tanks above the bar is delivered directly from the brewer in plastic bags which are in the tanks. The first time the beer hits oxygen is when it comes out of the taps, making it some of the crispest and freshest beer you’ll ever taste.
We recommend you eat the… beef shorts ribs, the Mangalitza Pork or the New York style Pastrami sandwich.
We also recommend… checking out their Brisket Monday, when you can get a 0.3l beer, a serve of beef brisket and a side dish of your choice for 14.90€
