International Women’s day is not just about celebrating the contribution women make to the human race, but it’s actually a day to remind us to keep up the fight for equality between the sexes, and women’s rights.
There will be events happening around the city in Vienna to help people come together and live by the purpose of the day: to reflect on progress made, to call for change, to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities but also to remember how far we have still to go in the fight for equality.
