It’s been fifty years since the American jazz saxophonist and composer, John Coltrane, passed away. In his honour, for the first time in Vienna, Gartenbaukino will be screening the documentary from 2016, Chasing Trane. The documentary represents the life, love of music and legend of the influential musician. After the screening, DJ Samir KÖCK will transform the foyer of Cafe Drechsler into a jazz club for the after party. Selected records and posters of John Coltrane will be on sale, supported by Universal Music.
