Vienna’s famous ice rink celebrates…meaning free ice skating all night!

150 Jahre Wiener Eislaufverein

The famous and beloved Wiener Eislaufverein (next to the Intercontinental hotel) is celebrating its 150th anniversary this Monday. An evening packed with events on ice is in store for visitors, including a special ice show choreographed by European Champion Claudia Kristofics-Binder, that will feature not only some pretty amazing ice figure skating, but also some ice hockey, curling and ice speed skating will be happening. From 8pm onwards, you are free to use the ice rink to show off your own skills (free admission). 

Recommended if you like: ice skating and winter sports, famous Viennese venues, skating a few rounds in a romantic atmosphere, seeing the Wiener Eislaufverein before the big reconstruction of the area, being the fastest or more elegant on ice
